Mackenzie Kriss, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Hi, I’m Mackenzie, an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s twists and turns with personalized, compassionate care. I believe that psychiatric care is more than just writing prescriptions after talking to someone for 15 minutes – that’s why I emphasize taking my time to perform comprehensive assessments to fully understand what is driving your issue. The road to healing can be complicated and challenging, but if you choose to work with me, I can provide education, help you develop real skills, and find the right medication if needed to help you navigate the path to finally achieving balance.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and whatever other curveballs life throws at us. My approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and absolutely not one-size-fits-all. Whether we’re working on medication management or exploring big emotions, I’m here to create a plan that’s as unique as you are. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and equipped to face life’s challenges with confidence and resilience, in a judgement-free space.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me scaling a rock wall, hiking a new trail, signing up for a race I have no business running, or convincing my dog, Arya, that she’s not the boss of me (read: she totally is!). I love a good challenge, whether it’s climbing a tough route, or helping my patients overcome obstacles in their lives.
If you are looking for a kind provider who will listen to you, support you, and make you feel like a whole person, not just your diagnosis, I would love to work with you. Together, we can take on whatever life throws your way – one step (or climb) at a time.

Madison Taylor, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Hi, I’m Madison Taylor, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the co-founder of MindWell Psychiatry. I graduated from Kent State University and have dedicated my career to providing thoughtful, compassionate mental health care that truly centers on the individual.

I offer compassionate, evidence- based medication management, always taking the time to understand the whole person—not just the symptoms. My practice is built on the belief that healing begins with feeling safe, heard, and respected. That’s why I offer longer appointment times than most—so there’s space to talk, reflect, and create a plan that feels right for you.

I’m committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can be honest about what you’re going through and feel empowered in your treatment. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges, my goal is to walk with you toward greater mental wellness—with care that’s rooted in empathy, respect, and trust.

Outside of work, I find joy and balance in the simple things. I love gardening, hiking, and spending quality time with my dogs. I also share my backyard with a small group of very opinionated chickens who keep things interesting and make sure I never take life too seriously. These everyday joys help ground me and remind me of the importance of slowing down and staying connected—to nature, to others, and to myself.
